Shortly before I saw Jessica's photos, we stopped by http://boxshopsf.org/">The Box Shop on a Wednesday evening to check out how the process of creating SOMA was going. We got there just in time to see the casting crew dig an aluminum practice piece out of the dirt where it was cooling, then it was doused in water!
