Nice, France: First stop off of the cruise, on our own. The Hotel Mercur upgraded our room so we have a little view of the French Riveria from our room in the Hotel Mecure. Just had a sweet little lunch while waiting for our room, little steak, frites & salad, Nice small portions. Tom Mingle out exploring our little piece of the world and the wind is whipping the flags, no schedule to meet. Loving it.

When in France I spent most of my time in Paris, but when I did escape the city, I remember other towns and the countryside were wonderful! I think that the country has a way of refreshing one's soul. I know you're soaking up the experience and treasuring every day. Great photo, by the way. - Affinity Mingle The water is an incredible blue, and there are two very different shades, which I assume has to do with the depth of the water. Just up from a fabulous nap, off to dinner of French Onion Soup since we had a real lunch.

- Tom Mingle ‎Melissa Alexander - yeah, top does look like French sailor top. Good catch. Most of the tourists here seem to be French. Oh, yeah - it's the get-away-to-the-beach for them too. Disconcerting at first since there are so many tourists and souvenir shops. Beach is rocks not sand but I may have to have a go at it anyway. The water is spectacularly azure ;).
